William Hemmer, DVM
Dr. Hemmer received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia, where he obtained Bachelors Degrees in both Biology and Poultry Science. Dr. Hemmer is the managing partner of the Arnold Veterinary Hospital.
Deborah Christine Leigh, VMD
Dr. Leigh received her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. She worked as a laboratory technician in a molecular biology lab at the Dental School of the University of Pennsylvania from 1991-1994. She completed her undergraduate studies at Penn State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a vertebrate physiology option.
Dr. Leigh has been with the Arnold Veterinary Hospital since 2000.
She is married to Jeff Leigh, a locally practicing dentist. Dr Leigh has two boys, ages 2 and 4, and is the proud owner of a cat named Pocahontas. The family enjoys sailing on the Chesapeake Bay.
Paula Prestia, DVM
Dr. Prestia, a native of Severna Park, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. After graduation she worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital Wilmer Eye Institute and the Madison Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Wisconsin on several clinical trials. Dr Prestia received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. She has practiced in Delaware, Virginia, and Maryland. Dr. Prestia has a special interest in ophthalmology and internal medicine. She currently lives in the Arnold area with 3 cats, 1 dog and 2 goldfish.

Kristen Boroff, DVM
Dr. Boroff is from the great state of Wyoming. She attended the University of Wyoming where she received her undergraduate degree in the study of animal veterinary sciences. Her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine was obtained at Colorado State University. In her free time, she enjoys her beautiful border collie and her reformed stray cat.
